Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
The inspiration of our wedding theme was a mix of Disney magic and our own personal touches. My husband and I both love flowers so floral presentations were very important. Blush and gold made the room seem as if I was marrying my Prince Charming. Topping it all off was a dream-like cloud that we danced through with our first dance as a married couple. I know fairy tales are not to be taken too seriously, but I honestly felt like a real princess.
Q: Tell us your love story! How did he propose?
Alexander proposed to me in a very sweet way. Him and I are particularly more on the shy side. The original plan was that he was going to ask me at a nice dinner, but with a crowded restaurant he felt pressure and was too nervous. We were playing a game of pool down at a clubhouse where my mother used to live when he popped the question. It was very us, just enjoying such an intimate moment together. I’ll never regret saying “Yes!”
Q: What do you remember most about you wedding day?
There were so many remarkable moments on our wedding day, but one moment stuck out the most to me. He cried. My loving husband cried as I approached him to become his bride. My Alexander is sensitive, not much of a crier though. Seeing him being so vulnerable in one of the best moment of my life truly showed me that this is the man I am meant to be with. I jokingly would say that if he didn’t cry, I would turn around and he must pluck a nose hair to bring forth the tears and we would take it from the top. I never truly thought that he would get teary-eyed though.
Q: What did you appreciate most at Raintree Golf and Event Center?
I appreciated not only how my mom, the events director at Raintree, pulled off the perfect wedding for us and made my dreams come true. I also appreciated the Chef. He did a phenomenal job with not only the presentation for our food, but the flavor! Everything was far beyond my expectations and having the perfect wedding along with food to match made for an amazing time for not only us, but for our guests as well.
