You’ve said, “I do”, danced your first dance, and now it’s time to savor that first bite of wedding cake, as the photographer snaps photos and guests watch in smiling anticipation.
The timing of this blog couldn’t be more perfect, this weekend is my 1st wedding anniversary. I’m surprising my husband with an exact duplication of the top layer of our elegant wedding cake. That wonderful top layer that was boxed and taken that night with us! Thank goodness, because at the end of our wedding day we were hungry and the cake was absolutely perfect! As an Events Director, I’ve seen countless wedding cakes. When he proposed, I knew West Side Bakery simply had to make mine. It was stunning on the outside and the inside it was Chocolate Chocolate Chip cake with double Toffee filling.
Weddings are a wonderful reflection of each couple and the cake is, too! I find myself loving the creatively colorful confections. Last weekend, Rachel & Chris had this gorgeous Oreo wedding cake captured in this photo. I love their creativity.
