Q: What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
I wanted it to be sleek and very elegant. I'm not a huge flower person so I wanted all candles and everything black and it was absolutely beautiful!
Q: Tell us your love story! How did he propose?
We have been together 9 years and met in college. We had a class together. He proposed after 8 years. We were in our living room and I was getting ready for my first day at my new job. We had recently gotten me some new clothes for it and as I was getting ready, he said "well you have new clothes now, all you need is new jewelry…" I was super confused and thought maybe it was something of his grandmas and I turned around and he was on one knee. It was super special!
Q: What do you remember most about you wedding day?
I just remember special moments. I remember my first look with my dad which was so special. I remember our first look together outside and his smile when he turned around. I remember seeing him down the aisle and his smile. I remember the speeches and how special they were. I remember a lot as I did my best to soak it all in!
Q: Did you do a First Look photo?
Yes, we did our first look on the bridge outside and it was sooooo special! I was so excited to tap his shoulder. Seeing his face and hugging him was amazing. We needed that time alone just him and I. He isn't super outgoing and gets overwhelmed with a lot of attention on him, so this was perfect for him and I!
Q: What did you appreciate most at Raintree Golf and Event Center?
They were on top of EVERYTHING. Absolutely nothing went wrong. They went above and beyond to make it special. I am forever grateful for Dawn and how special she made me feel every time I saw her. She was a HUGE part of making it everything we could have ever wanted it to be.
